I went to the Punchbowl Cemetery after work today. It was such a beautiful day. I parked my car, walked down the grassy slope and read the tomb stones of the past heroes.
Some of them were Navy sailors, a lot of Army soldiers, a few Marines and Cost Guards. There were also some wives and children sleeping under the green blanket.
I calculated the length of their lives. The shortest one is less than one day old. The longest one was 90 years old. Most of them had 50-60 years of lives.
If I am a normal sailor, just like most of them here, I am more than half way of my life.
Looking at the rows of tombstones, "life is so short," I pondered.
Why would I worry about things around me today? They are just like mist, and will be evaporated shortly.
"Trust in the Lord and Do Good.""Dear God,I am contempt because I have you, the creator of Heaven and Earth, who worth my praise and all the glory! There is nothing worth looking at in this world. I pray that you will show me your path and help me to walk on it.May my desire be yours as well. Amen!"What stage will I be in November? wa kali masenBut I know that God has already prepared the best for me, and I know that I will start teaching in Awana this week, I will go to my first mission trip to New Orleans next month, and enjoy a wonderful trip to Italy soon!Cheers!
